One (Ami Suzuki song)

"One" is the twenty-sixth single of Japanese singer and actress Ami Suzuki, and her fourteenth released on the Avex label Avex Trax. Produced by Yasutaka Nakata of capsule, it was released on 2 July 2008.
==Background==
"One" was the first single to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ami Suzuki in the music industry. It was released in July 2, the same day as "Love the Island", her debut single released ten years ago in 1998. After the release of the double A-single of the "Join" collaboration project, "Free Free/Super Music Maker", Suzuki worked once again with Capsule leader Yasutaka Nakata for this single. He produced both the lead song of the it, "One", and its b-side, "A Token of Love". Nakata even provided a remix version of the later. The songs follow the same line as the previous "Join" single, having the same electropop vibe typical of Nakata's musical productions, with her voice vocoded. The two songs were later added to the 10th anniversary album ''Supreme Show'', which was fully produced by Nakata.
The lead song "One" was used as theme song for the annual All Japan High School Quiz Championship, and Suzuki performed the song at various locations where this competition took place. On its first day in the Oricon charts the single debuted at number eight, the highest debut since "Little Crystal", released two years earlier. At the end of the week "One" ended up at the 17th position.
In the release party of the single, Suzuki performed "One" along with Yasutaka Nakata, with other songs produced by him, and also made her debut as DJ.
